Lipscomb County is in the far northeastern corner of the Texas Panhandle, surrounded on the north and east by Oklahoma. A flourishing oil and gas economy subsequently developed. With a total of 932.29 sq. miles of land, Lipscomb County, Texas is the 868th largest county equivalent area in the United States. Nevertheless, the importance of the town as a farming and ranching center, along with oil and gas explorations, keep Lipscomb’s economy alive.
